DCM Connected gets into gear with Rockar

Time 8:30 am, September 20, 2016

DIGITAL showroom Rockar is to use DCML’s telematics software DCM Connected to protect and bring visibility to its fleet of demonstrator vehicles and empower its storefront ‘Angels’.

The partnership will cover 120 vehicles across Rockar’s stores at Westfields in Olympic Park and Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe, encompassing its fleet of Hyundais.

DCM Connected’s data feed will transmit directly into Rockar’s interactive UK mapping, available in each store, to generate live mapping of each and every test-drive vehicle on the road and make the test drive seamless and relaxed.

Business software provider DCML’s comprehensive telematics package will also give customers even greater visibility to enhance Rockar’s unique test-drive experience and relaxed buying process. During and after Rockar’s ‘YouDrive’ test-drive programme, the system will deliver an in-depth analysis of each car and feedback on driving behaviour to ensure that Rockar staff can help customers choose the perfect vehicle for their needs.

The integration of DCM Connected will also provide extra security for the fleet of demonstration vehicles, tracking their location and mechanical health. When combined with an analysis of the driver’s behaviour, the technology will provide advanced protection for Rockar’s fleet of Hyundais.

Extra digital accident reconstruction and notification features will help eliminate avoidable cost and minimise risks for the dealership.

DCM Connected will be used across the whole dealership management system but Rockar said it had selected it particularly for the clarity it gives its ‘Angels’ in test drives.

Paul Stokes, managing director of Rockar, said: ‘Rockar was founded to rejuvenate the car-buying process, giving the customer clarity and choice. DCM Connected empowers both the customer and our Rockar Angels by arming them both with detailed mechanical and behavioural feedback.

‘As a comprehensive telematics package it has depth, giving us unprecedented visibility over our fleet and allowing us to manage both the vehicles and the inherent risks associated with it.’

Vince Powell, managing director of DCML, said: ‘Our system has impressed customers as a tool that excels in the modern car-buying process and, naturally, we’re delighted to have Rockar, a truly modern dealership, on board as affirmation. The addition of telematics technology has proven vital to our offering.’
