ONE of Subaru’s latest dealer recruits has already started to immerse itself in the brand.
Hylton Gott Ltd of Kings Lynn recently offered fulsome support to the recent Richard Burns Memorial Rally.
Event sponsor Subaru not only organised (and financed) proceedings, but, through Hylton Gott, presented two trophies – to Richard Burns’ father, Alex, and RAF Station Commander, Group Captain Colin Basnett.
The RAF’s involvement was because the event was held at RAF Marham. This was a motor racing first… Marham is actually still a fully operational airbase!
The Rally was won by Markko Martin and Burns’ former co-driver, Robert Reid. It honoured the English WRC Champion, who died in November 2005 from brain cancer.
He was just 34.
