BCA Blackbushe will host the Bangers4Ben auction on Friday, October 26, for the final fundraising push.
Cars from the 2018 Car Dealer Magazine Bangers4Ben rally will be offered and sold, with all the proceeds going directly to Ben, the not-for-profit organisation that partners with the industry to provide support for life to its people and their dependents.
Each car in the Bangers4Ben rally was purchased for no more than £750 and then dressed in a variety of accessories for the rally before covering around 1,300 miles over the five day trip. The teams started at the Brooklands Museum in Weybridge, before travelling through France, Germany, Belgium and ending at Rockingham Motor Speedway.
After the event, every car has been donated to be sold for Ben at this Friday’s auction. BCA auctions the cars free of charge to ensure the maximum is raised for the charity and donates all the buyers’ fees to the cause.
Among the vehicles on offer are a fully kitted out mobile Nag’s Head Pub from Only Fools and Horses fame, which started life as a Vauxhall Vivaro van; a replica Noddy’s car based on a 2004 Ford Ka and a Reliant Robin finished as the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard.
Tim Naylor, BCA’s head of PR, commented: ‘The annual sale of Bangers4Ben vehicles always attracts a big crowd of buyers so we look forward to welcoming everybody to BCA Blackbushe on Friday 26th October.
‘We hope to raise some significant funds to help Ben’s fabulous work in supporting thousands of individuals and families connected with the UK automotive industry.’
