THE rapidly expanding car finance website Carfinance247 has acquired an additional 10,500 sq ft. of office space at Albion Mill in Ancoats, Manchester, to house the company’s growing workforce.
It follows the appointment of an additional 60 employees in the last quarter, taking the total number of people to more than 200.
Carfinance247 has reported a 280 per cent increase in turnover this year as consumers switch to securing car finance online ahead of sourcing a car via a dealership. By having finance in place, purchasers are effectively cash buyers.
The number of employees at the online broker have increased from 40 to 200 in just over two years and the recruitment drive is showing no signs of slowing down. Recruitment has been across all departments within the organisation, including senior roles, with a focus on the sales, compliance and technology departments.
Managing Director, Reg Rix, pictured above, said: ‘Employing an ambitious and dedicated team is paramount to our continued success and the remarkable year we’ve had is down to the people we have working for us. We were also delighted to have been recognised as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for earlier this year.
‘Of course we want to attract the best talent so we’ve invested in an additional modern office space with the latest facilities as a base for our expanding team.
‘Manchester is an ideal location for us. We work nationwide and Ancoats is a great place for a growing business, close to major travel links within the city and an up and coming area.’
Rix added: ‘This year has been phenomenal. On top of that we are now seeing a buoyant marketplace and a recovering economy, with customers happy to arrange finance via the internet. We are predicting a continuation in the upward trend for online finance and are looking forward to a busy 2016.’
Cementing its place as one of Manchester’s fastest growing employers, the organisation was also recently named Digital Team of the Year at The Digital Entrepreneur Awards, and has been shortlisted for a string of business accolades including North West Business Insider’s 42 Under 42, The Lloyds Bank National Business Awards, The North West Entrepreneur of the Year and The Drum DADI Awards.
