CITY Auction Group, the UK’s fastest-growing auction firm, has created a new fleet management department, following significant growth and development of its corporate vendor portfolio.

The new department will support the firm’s operations in Rockingham and Belfast and will be headed up Lynne Girvan, the fleet management department manager.

Girvan’s responsibilities will be managing processes, procedures and payments to ensure City Auction Group provides a consistent and professional service. Formerly fleet sales manager at City Auction Group, she joined the firm in 2010.

Girvan will be supported by two new fleet management assistants, Christina Maxwell and Rachel Watson.

All City Auction Group corporate fleet accounts will be handled by this new team, based at the firm’s head office.

Michael Tomalin, City Auction Group’s managing director, said: ‘The introduction of our new fleet management department will cement our commitment to this vital sector and enable us to grow and develop our portfolio of corporate vendors.

‘It will also ensure we provide a first-class service to our clients, with a dedicated team of account handlers.

‘We have experienced a sharp increase in the number of corporate vendors working with us and since we opened Rockingham in January 2015, we have increased our portfolio by 20 per cent.

‘We are in a unique position at Rockingham, with the sheer size of the facility at an operational motor racing track.  It adds something very special to the central location.’\

The next auction event is on Thursday at 10am with anchor vendor Lex Autolease, Avis Budget Group, Peugeot & Citroen Financial Services, Semalease, Helphire, RCi Financial Services, Renault UK, Pendragon Vehicle Management, Fleet Assist, FCA Fleet Services and Fleet Financial.
