DataDot Technology provides peace of mind to a million motorists

Time 9:50 am, May 8, 2017

AFTER more than seven successful years of collaboration, dDotDNA has just supplied the one millionth car security kit for the application to new FCA vehicles sold in Italy.

This milestone means that 1 million Italian FCA drivers have now experienced the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their new vehicle is protected by a DataDot Technology / dDotDNA car security kit, which is proven to reduce car theft at least by 60 per cent when compared to unprotected cars.

The DataDot car security kit is provided to new FCA drivers by FCA Bank (a joint venture between the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance) as part of a finance and insurance offering.

According to Adrian Gheorghiu of dDotDNA, ‘the success of this programme is down to the proven effectiveness of the kit in reducing theft and the assurance this provides new car buyers and the excellent cooperation with our distributor Federperiti, that manages not only the logistics and the back-office support, but also the training of FCA’s dealer network in Italy’.

Andrew Winfield, managing director of DataDot Technology (UK) Limited, said: ‘New car buyers clearly take confidence from our proven theft deterrence.

‘In Australia and in the rest of the world we also have data showing that this sort of peace of mind does play a role in new vehicle buying decisions.’
