WINDSOR Motor Group is celebrating its 100th online used vehicle sale just a few months after bringing in GForces’ dedicated new ecommerce platform – NetDirector Auto-e.
GForces – which provides digital technology, marketing, and consultancy services to the automotive industry – launched the product in late-2018 and is supporting a wide range of dealer groups with the platform to underpin new ecommerce strategies.
The launch by one of Ireland’s largest automotive retailers of the new direct sales channel is a significant milestone for the country’s car industry. Windsor – which represents Nissan, Renault, Dacia, Peugeot, Opel and Mazda – sells more than 12,000 new and used vehicles a year across its 15 dealerships and is seeing huge numbers of existing and prospective clients visit its website.
Peter Nicholson, managing director at Windsor, said: ‘Digital is reshaping the future of car sales and dealerships as we know it. Thousands of motorists are visiting the website each day, and we’ve just sold our 100th used car online. This is very reassuring as we move ahead with the full roll-out of the NetDirector Auto-e platform from GForces.’
Windsor collaborated with GForces to create an omnichannel digital presence that has been so successful it is now looking to sell new cars online across the authorised brand range as well.
Tim Smith, pictured, chief commercial officer at GForces, said: ‘The car-buying public have already made the leap that automotive retailers are still hesitant about.
‘Consumers who are researching their next vehicle purchase online are also willing to apply for finance and make a full purchase online too. With NetDirector Auto-e, we make all of that possible – it is a complete end-to-end solution.
‘We are absolutely thrilled that Windsor has fully embraced the future of automotive and has seen such impressive success with the platform. We are continuing to work with Windsor to improve its offering even further, incorporating full part-exchange facilities and much, much more.’
NetDirector Auto-e incorporates every stage of the buying journey from online card payments and part-exchange valuations to finance approval possible within 10 minutes, and enables automotive retailers to make their digital dealership open for business 24 hours a day.
