Great Wall's NI dealer

Time 9:04 am, October 26, 2012

EAKIN BROS of Londonderry are set to become Great Wall’s first Northern Ireland dealer.

Great Wall currently offers just one model for sale – the £13,995 Steed pick-up. According to the firm’s website though, plans are in place to bring more offerings to the British Isles: including the H6 SUV.

Based in a village just south of Londonderry, Eakin Bros marks the first Northern Ireland dealer to sell the cars – joining a network of 48 outlets across the UK. Founded in 1923, it has operated from the same site since conception: currently selling mostly Isuzu and Iveco commercials vehicles

‘We’re incredibly excited to join Great Wall in the early stages of its history in the UK and to lead it into Northern Ireland,’ said Peter Eakin, managing director of Eakin Bros.

‘We have high hopes for our partnership with the company – our combination of extensive experience and cutting-edge workshop technology means we are perfectly placed to service the needs of our customers.’

Great Wall its self says it expects ‘strong sales’ in 2013 – combining comparatively low list prices with ‘high levels of equipment’ and ‘comprehensive’ warranties.

‘The appointment of Eakin Bros offers Great Wall a fantastic opportunity to expand our network into an important new market for the brand,’ added Great Wall’s managing director Paul Hegarty.

‘We believe that the dealership is in an excellent position to help our expansion and look forward to a long and prosperous partnership.’
