Guests shared the latest trends to affect the market, the pressures car dealers are feeling and what it’s like to sell a customer their first Rolls-Royce.

Monday – ASE Global’s Mike Jones

ASE Global chairman Mike Jones discussed the average loss dealers made in April, dealer profitability, changes to the furlough scheme and how beneficial a scrappage scheme would be for the industry.

Tuesday – Scott Sibley from Redgate Lodge


On Tuesday, Redgate Lodge owner Scott Sibley came on the show. He chatted about the changes the business has undergone during lockdown, how he started his car dealer life by shifting Renault Clios and the importance of video in selling cars.

Wednesday – Edward Lovett from Collecting Cars

Launched early last year, Collecting Cars is an online auction platform for collectable cars, bikes and automobilia – whether they’re old, classic or modern. They’ve quickly become well-known – not least because they broadcast regular podcasts hosted by Top Gear presenter Chris Harris. We chatted to founder Edward Lovett on how he started the business.

Thursday – P&A Wood’s Georgina Wood

P&A Wood MD Georgina Wood appeared on the show on Thursday and gave a fascinating insight into the 50-year-old business. It’s renowned worldwide for selling the finest classic Rolls-Royces and Bentleys, and holds a Rolls-Royce Motor Cars franchise selling new cars. P&A Wood also holds the unique honour of being the UK’s only Rolls-Royce approved repairer. A Car Dealer Live that’s not to be missed.

Friday – Autovillage’s Paul Boyce

On Friday we spoke to Paul Boyce, owner of Cheltenham-based Autovillage. The business is the top performing SsangYong dealer in the UK and has relies upon a loyal customer base that loves the way Boyce does business.
