It’s official – Bangers4Ben 2015 has sold out!

Time 5:29 pm, June 30, 2015

b4biconTHIS year’s Bangers4BEN charity rally, organised annually by Car Dealer magazine and the automotive industry charity BEN, has provisionally sold out.

A total of 50 teams have signed up for the event, which will take place in October.

We opened bookings at this year’s Car Dealer Conference & Automotive Expo when more than a dozen teams signed up – and it hasn’t taken long for the remaining places to be snapped up.

However, would-be participants are still encouraged to put themselves forward to be included on a reserve list in case anyone drops out.

We raised more than £40,000 in 2014 with 40 cars, making it the largest individual event for BEN behind their annual ball – so the challenge this year is to raise more than £50,000.

This year’s event will have a Formula One theme, with participants able to complete laps of famous circuits such as Silverstone, the Nurburgring and Spa Francorchamps. The cars taking part will have cost their owners no more than £750 and will be sold at the conclusion of the journey, with all proceeds going to BEN.

Colin Channon, editor of Car Dealer, said: ‘This year’s event promises to be the biggest, best and craziest Bangers4BEN ever and we’re all really looking forward to it.

‘It grows in popularity every year. We were delighted by its success last year and we’re confident that Bangers4BEN 2015 will be another record-breaker.’
