JOHNSONS Cars has signed a new three-year deal with BCA to manage more than 20,000 vehicles.
The multi-franchise dealer operates 35 sites across the UK and is one of the largest independent car dealerships in the country. It recently acquired Chambers of Sutton Limited, which included a Mazda and Hyundai dealership in Tamworth and a Ford franchise in Sutton Coldfield.
Johnsons also opened the first Volkswagen retail store in the UK – at the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham.
The vehicles will be sold on Thursdays at BCA Perry Barr, pictured, and are available to BCA Live Online buyers. All cars will be presale-prepared and offered under the BCA Assured scheme.
Mike Berwick, operations director at Johnsons Cars, said: ‘BCA bring the scale and flexibility we need to support our continued growth. We were impressed by the commitment to innovation and continued investment in new technology.’
BCA’s 20-acre remarketing and logistics facility at Perry Barr provides three auction lanes and a state-of-the-art digital auction suite. There is undercover viewing for 450 vehicles, customer parking for more than 400 vehicles, a restaurant, barista kiosk and business suites, as well as a range of buyer services available in the customer concourse.
Suzanne Spencer, major account manager at BCA, said: ‘Johnsons is a fast-growing and ambitious company that operates respected retail operations across the UK. Our integrated approach to remarketing and a wide range of support services mean that we can provide a true partnership to support their team.’
