Time 11:05 am, August 2, 2017

NATIONAL automotive retailer Lookers is launching a new brand concept that it says will let customers view and test-drive some of the best used cars it has to offer.

Lookers Outlet’s opening weekend, which starts this coming Friday, will welcome visitors to Lookers Nissan Gateshead by offering a wide range of cars, offers and the chance to win prizes including a romantic weekend away or family day out.

Cars at Lookers Outlet can only have a maximum of 50,000 miles on the clock, be a maximum of five years old and have had two previous owners at most.

The concept will initially operate from the Lookers Nissan Gateshead site but will be supported by a strong online presence to cater for buyers nationally.

Peter Waugh, Lookers Nissan Gateshead’s general manager, pictured, who was named General Manager of the Year at the Lookers Guild Awards 2017, said: ‘We listened to our customers, who told us they wanted quality cars at more affordable prices, and we have delivered with the Lookers Outlet. I’m looking forward to welcoming customers to see our range of offers.

‘There really is something to suit everyone, and with the selection available I’m sure many of our customers will walk away from our outlet happy car owners. I’m excited to see the success of the Lookers Outlet and I am confident that it will go from strength to strength.’

Colin Pybus, franchise director for Lookers Volume Division, which includes Nissan and Renault, said: ‘The introduction of a Lookers Outlet to our business is a welcome one. It is wonderful that we are now able to offer a wider range of the very best used cars in our stock, all at affordable prices. The standard of cars available in our outlet is excellent and I am confident that it will be a great success.’

Lookers Nissan Gateshead was recently recognised as the biggest-selling dealership of used Nissan Leafs in the UK, while its team won a Motability Award at the Lookers Guild Awards 2017 for their customer service.
