A LANKY car dealer ended up in trouble with the traffic police for driving with his head sticking up and above the windscreen of a convertible.
Adam Elliott, 25, was driving through Newcastle, reportedly delivering the Ford StreetKa to a buyer, when he was spotted and stopped by police, who claimed he was distracting other drivers.
Despite 6ft 7ins Elliott’s explanation, he was issued with a court summons, where he will face a charge of careless driving.
The incident appears to have happened on January 26. Shortly before 5pm Elliott, who lists himself on social media as ‘Boss’ at I Buy Any Car North-East LTD, posted a photograph of himself clearly too tall for the car with the caption: ‘When your too big for ya convertible ; ( [sic]”.
Less than an hour later, he posted three more photos alongside the comment: “Really … I get a section 59 and a sumons [sic] for careless driving for being too big for my ka? Any one know any decent solicitors that deal with driving?”
The latter post has since been ‘shared’ 1747 times, and ‘liked’ by over 2800 people.
Elliott has shared an advertisement to his vehicle dealership in response to a number of comments on the post.
