nissan-juke-front-2b-approvedNISSAN is working on a GT-R powered ‘Super’ Juke – and it points to some interesting future models.

Powered by the 530bhp 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 unit from the firm’s GT-R supercar, the one-off model will be capable of hitting 200mph and covering 60mph in less than four seconds.

We spoke to Nissan GB and it confirmed it was working on the brute and that we’ll see it before the end of the year.

Currently a design study, the Super Juke boasts flared wheel arches, a stripped out interior and a huge rear wing that is split either side of the rear brake light.

It’s highly unlikely the Super Juke will go into production as anything other than a one-off, but what is exciting is it hints at future plans for a sporty version of the crossover.

There’s no doubt many of the Juke’s target buyers would love a hot version of the car and these design studies often lead the way for toned down performance models in the future.
