PORSCHE has emerged as the big winner at the third annual CitNOW Video Awards.

The sports car manufacturer scooped three trophies in total at the ceremony, held today at BAFTA in London, securing the Best Sales, Best Overseas and Best Overall CitNOW Video titles.

The Best Sales Video, which also won the Best Overall prize, was a detailed presentation of a used 911 for a prospective customer by Sytner Specialist Division Porsche presenter Craig Young.

In the Best Overseas Video category, Porsche Zentrum Recklinghausen’s overview of the manufacturer’s current car range won plaudits for its level of detail and professionalism. CitNOW said a host of new entrants to the category highlighted the increasingly global appeal of automotive video.

The number of automotive retailers, workshops and bodyshops using personalised video to communicate with customers continues to rise and that was reflected in the record number of nominations received for this year’s CitNOW Video Awards, with a total of 852 videos entered.

Judges praised what they called ‘an impressive spread of talent … among dealer groups and independents across the board’, with Marshall Skoda in Newbury taking the best Workshop Video category and JCT600’s Body Clinic in Sheffield securing the Bodyshop title.

Tustain Motors, an independent dealer group based in Northumberland and East Lothian, was highly commended in the Best Sales Video category.

In the Web category, Arnold Clark Hillington Renault took the honours, with a high-quality video presentation. Capturing the ‘new car’ feeling, Bath Audi sang to victory in the Most Creative Use of CitNOW Video category with its cover of ‘Feeling Good’, starring a very satisfied A7 buyer.

CitNOW founder Andrew Howells said: ‘The quality of this year’s CitNOW Video Awards entries is testimony to the commitment and passion for the automotive industry globally, and we congratulate all of our winners on their achievements.

‘Record numbers of automotive professionals are using CitNOW to build their businesses on a foundation of trust and transparency. Their digital aptitude and creativity suggests that the industry is increasingly well prepared for the future.’

Videos made from May 9, 2017 can be entered for the 2018 CitNOW Video Awards and must be in by May 7, 2018.
