SUBARU and Daihatsu have gained a new outlet in Suffolk.
The Hammond Group has been appointed to sell the two brands, from a new, purpose-built showroom.
This will employ over 40 staff, joining the growing sales force of the two brands.
Subaru is already ahead of its 100-dealer goal, through appointing an impressive 11 new dealers so far this year.
Daihatsu has signed up eight in 08 and, with its eye on a total of 140, reckons to have another 16 potential outlets chomping at the bit.
Hammonds has been going for nearly half a century, and employs 250 staff in dealers that include an Isuzu outlet. So they already have experience of Subaru and Daihatsu parent company IM Group.
Derek Hammond, MD, Hammond Group, said: ‘We believe we are opening the business from a position of strength. Our reputation throughout East Anglia is strong and our exceptional aftersales department will go hand-in-hand with these well respected brands.’
‘Our revamped website will also be up and running by the end of the year and will encompass the new brands, plus on-line parts shops.’
Lawrence Good, MD, Subaru (UK) Ltd, added: ‘The reason for our success in attracting high quality, skilled and enthusiastic new dealers is simple: the Subaru range offers tremendous sales potential, with strong technical and managerial support. Set-up costs are sensible, with many aftersales and servicing opportunities.’
That sounds like a rallying call to us… time for a speculative phone call to Coleshill, perhaps?
