FOUR new directors have been appointed at TMS Motor Group’s Hinckley and Coventry dealerships – all of them sons of the managing director, Len Hallows. This ensures that the group will remain a family-run enterprise for the foreseeable future.
Ben, Tom, Dom and Oliver Hallows all currently hold sales or aftersales managerial positions at their respective dealerships. They are no strangers to TMS, having all joined after leaving school at 16, and have worked their way up the ladder through stints in various departments.
Now having undertaken managerial training, the four sons will begin running the business with their father, who will continue to oversee as managing director.
The appointments follow TMS Hinckley’s seven-figure investment in a state-of-the-art Volvo dealership in December 2014.
The brothers each invested their own money in the business, in order to claim shares within the group. For Len, this created the ideal moment to promote them to director level.
Hallows Sr said: ‘Ben, Dom, Tom and Oliver have nearly 20 years’ motor trade experience under their belts, and all at such a young age.’
Len continued, ‘It gives me a great sense of pride to be able to appoint all four of my sons to director level, not only to support TMS’ future expansion plans, but also to show my appreciation for all of their hard work and dedication to the business.’
