Unbeatablecar increases warranty and GAP sales with RAC products

Time 12:48 pm, May 3, 2016

CAR supermarket Unbeatablecar has reported a substantial increase in warranty and GAP sales since adopting RAC products in August 2015.

RAC-HomeWith branches in Portsmouth, Crawley and Billingshurst, the company has also implemented the RAC BuySure used car programme and is offering service plans from the RAC’s partner, The Warranty Group.

Mark Sopp, director at Unbeatablecar, said: ‘We chose to work with the RAC because of the strength of their brand, their professionalism and what we saw as their honesty. The products do exactly what they claim to do.

‘We feel that by choosing the RAC we are putting our customers in safe hands. At the end of the day, we simply want to provide the best possible product for our consumers.

‘The initial results we have seen bear out the choice we have made. From month one, we were hitting our targets and, to date, are seeing a substantial increase on last year. Customers are very positive about these products.’

Unbeatablecar specialises in new and nearly new quality, low-mileage vehicles, with most having one owner and a good service history.

Sopp added: ‘It is important that our vehicles are of the very best quality and it is key that the products we offer alongside this also reflect the same values, which is why we chose to become part of the RAC Approved Dealer Network and to offer RAC BuySure.’

RAC BuySure was launched for used cars two years ago and since then, has been adopted by more than 200 dealers across the UK. The initiative sees dealers commit to an 82-point RAC Approved Preparation Standard on every vehicle, a vehicle data check, and a minimum of three months of RAC Warranty cover.

Sopp concluded: ‘It has a definite and very positive effect on both how customers perceive us and how they view the cars we offer. There is a much higher degree of confidence.’
