NISSAN has opened order books for a limited edition version of its X-Trail model.
Called ‘Platinum’ just 200 units are on offer, with each one boasting additional equipment and glitz over the X-Trail’s range-topping Tekna model.
The front and rear of the car gets extra style with the fitment of additional protection plates located below the bumpers. The side is also treated to chrome side steps and chrome door protection mouldings.
On the inside the Platinum features leather upholstery and electrically-adjustable, heated front seats. A new touch screen communication unit features satellite navigation, iPod connectivity and Bluetooth.
A reversing camera, with the image transmitted onto a small screen incorporated into the rear view mirror, also features.
Powering the Platinum is the X-Trail’s 2.0-litre dCi diesel engine, with a choice of either manual or automatic transmissions – the manual produces 170bhp and returns an average of 44.1mpg.
Prices for the limited-to-200-units model start at £29,180 for the manual and £30,560 for the automatic.
