r_6343IAN Plummer has decided to leave Renault UK as commercial operations director with effect from December 31, 2011.

A press release said Plumber had ‘made a significant contribution to the Renault brand in the UK, formerly as managing director of Renault Retail Group, where he led a strong resurgence in the company’s results and, more recently, as Renault UK’s commercial operations director, achieving a return to a five per cent market share last year.’

Thierry Sybord, Renault UK’s managing director said: ‘Ian’s inspiration and leadership will be missed and I wish him the very best for his future.’

Plummer’s successor will be announced ‘in the very near future’, while in the interim period, Bob O’Reilly, head of franchising & network development, will assume responsibility for Renault UK commercial operations.
