Andy is made Hendy’s franchise manager for Kia and Suzuki

Time 9:55 am, January 9, 2018

SOUTH coast dealer group Hendy has appointed Andy Meaden as its franchise manager for Kia and Suzuki.

Commercial director Mark Busby said Meaden’s experience as Hendy’s Ford franchise manager put him in an unrivalled position to look after Kia and Suzuki.

‘These are both expanding brands for us as a group and we are delighted that Andy will be overseeing development at dealerships across the south coast,’ he said.

Meaden’s appointment comes at a time of investment and expansion for Hendy, which is set to launch three new dealerships in Hampshire, including a Kia showroom in Eastleigh.

Hendy also recently opened Suzuki facilities in Crawley and a new flagship Kia dealership in Portsmouth.

Meaden, pictured, joined the motor industry as a sales executive in 1986 when he was 18. Since progressing to sales manager in 1994, he has worked with a range of Ford, Kia and other franchises in a number of senior roles – including general sales manager, group sales manager, group franchise sales manager, general manager and regional general manager, within the UK and overseas.

‘I am thrilled to be continuing my work with Hendy as franchise manager for its Kia and Suzuki brands,’ he said. ‘I thoroughly enjoyed my previous role with the company, looking after Hendy Ford, and this experience will stand me in very good stead for my new position here.

‘These are exciting and increasingly popular brands, and I’m looking forward to showcasing them to our customers over the coming months and years.’

The family-led Hendy Group was established more than 150 years ago and now has dealerships stretching from Devon to Kent, representing Ford, Kia, Mazda, Honda, MG, Iveco, Renault, Seat, Dacia, Suzuki and Isuzu.
