SHELLY Motors Kia welcomed Surrey and England cricket legend Alec Stewart to its Epsom site to collect his new Kia Sorento.
The former Surrey and England captain, who is the second most-capped English cricketer in Test matches, is currently director of cricket for Surrey County Cricket Club, which is based at the Kia Oval, and he said: ‘The Sorento is a great car, comfortable and spacious. With the amount of kit that we have to transport around, the huge boot makes it easy.’
The 55-year-old, who has the crossover SUV on loan for a year/9,000 miles, added: ‘The team at Shelly Motors have always been helpful and friendly whenever I have dropped in.’
Shelly Motors chairman Andrew Shelly, pictured right with Stewart, said: ‘It’s always great to see Alec here at the dealership. It really gives the team a huge lift to see him, and we hope he and his family enjoy driving the Sorento. You don’t have to be a cricket legend to drive a Sorento – but it helps!’
