FOLLOWING a 12-month construction programme, BCA has opened its expanded Manchester remarketing centre with a series of sales featuring cars and light commercial vehicles.

A new 6.5-acre facility has been constructed adjacent to the existing 32-acre Manchester auction centre and will be a vital link in BCA’s nationwide remarketing network.

The expanded multi-purpose auction facilities at BCA Manchester now have five auction halls – Coniston, Lancaster and Windermere – alongside the new Piccadilly and Victoria – and undercover viewing for around 1,000 vehicles.

The newly developed area features two back-to-back auction lanes, additional undercover viewing for up to 400 vehicles along with integrated Live Online support to broadcast all auctions in real-time to the company’s online buying community.

A large vehicle defleet and preparation facility, with self-contained digital imaging and video bays which utilise AutosOnShow technology, ensure that the centre has increased ability to process vehicles of all types and prepare them to the highest standards

The new facility has given BCA Manchester the capacity to expand the regular sales programme to allow LCV sales twice weekly (Monday and Wednesday) along with increased capacity for the car sales on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

BCA’s MD for UK remarketing, Stuart Pearson, said: ‘The newly expanded remarketing facilities at BCA Manchester provide an unrivalled environment to buy and sell cars and LCVs and we are building a comprehensive sales programme to meet the needs of the northern powerhouse communities.’
