Car dealerships will help fireworks display go off with a bang

Time 9:19 am, October 17, 2016

TWO car dealerships in Bristol are helping the city’s biggest fireworks display go off with a bang next month.

Downend Round Table’s fireworks display, which takes place on November 4, is being backed by Wessex Garages’ Used Car Super Centre and Nissan Cribbs Causeway dealership.

James Monteith, chairman of Downend Round Table, explained: ‘It is great news that Wessex Garages will be sponsoring our fireworks display again this year. We are able to plan and put together a great show thanks to the backing of Wessex and our other sponsors.

‘The show is in its 45th year and visitors can expect to see a bonfire, children’s display, main display, live music and fire jugglers along with food, drink and funfair stands.’

Wessex Garages will be displaying a selection of new and used vehicles during the event.

Simon Newson, general manager at Wessex Garages’ Cribbs Causeway dealership, explained: ‘This is the second year we have sponsored the fireworks display and we are proud to be part of such a huge community event and helping to raise money for worthwhile causes.

‘It promises to be a great night for all the family.’

The event will take place at the King George V playing fields on Westerleigh Road and will raise funds for the Bristol and Bath Group of the Motor Neurone Disease Assocation.
