Endeavour Automotive expands Geely portfolio with Lotus Cars showroom

Time 1:13 pm, September 27, 2018

ENDEAVOUR Automotive has opened a Lotus Cars showroom and service centre in Essex.

The newly refurbished site in Fox Street, Ardleigh, which is next to its Hyundai business, will display the full Lotus model range and be staffed by a dedicated sales manager and two specialist technicians for service and aftersales.

Alongside the new cars in the showroom, the dealership will also offer a range of official parts and accessories. Outside is space for 30 specialist cars to be displayed from approved used stock.

Endeavour said it decided to invest in the Lotus Cars franchise to further expand its product portfolio in the region. It added that having experienced success with Volvo in the south-east and opening a dealership for the LEVC electric taxi in Chiswick earlier this year, the addition of another Geely Auto Group brand was the logical next step.

Endeavour Lotus Colchester is about 45 miles south of Lotus Cars’ headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk.

Adrian Wallington, managing director of Endeavour Automotive, said: ‘We’re incredibly proud to be opening the new Lotus franchise. This iconic sports car business will be a welcome addition to the Endeavour customer offering and continues our successful relationship with the Geely Auto Group.

‘The quality and customer focus of the Geely brands reflects our own values, and our investment in new sectors demonstrates the confidence we have in the fantastic products already available and which are in future development.

‘I was very impressed when I visited the Lotus factory just a few weeks ago, and with the recent news that Phil Popham has been appointed to lead the brand, I can say for certain that it’s a truly exciting time to be involved with Lotus.’

In just six years of operation, Endeavour Automotive has grown rapidly to earn a place in the UK’s top 100 dealer groups and now operates 12 sites across the south-east of England.
