Tootle announces partnership with insurance comparison website to sell cars

Time 1:33 pm, December 14, 2017

CAR-SELLING platform Tootle announced today that it had partnered with Confused.com – the insurance comparison website.

The Tootle platform, which connects private sellers with trade buyers, has been integrated into Confused.com’s new car-selling comparison service, allowing drivers to compare how much cash they can get for their vehicle across a range of car-buying providers.

Launched last year out of company-builder Hambro Perks, Tootle lets people sell used cars for free via its national network of thousands of dealers, who bid to buy cars without auction and indemnity fees. Once the seller accepts an offer, the buyer arranges payment and collection with the seller directly.

Tootle said its transparency was perfect for drivers visiting Confused.com who are used to comparing prices on everything from car insurance to car finance. ‘This new partnership streamlines the selling process for drivers who want to find comparable sale prices for their vehicle in one place,’ it added in a statement.

Drivers looking to sell their unwanted cars can enter their details and receive a range of options from Confused.com, with Tootle within the selection of options to sell their car.

Amy Buckley, pictured, digital director for Tootle, said: ‘Confused.com is a well-known, much-loved brand, and we’re very pleased to help empower their customers throughout the journey of car ownership. This partnership will continue to increase the number of quality seller listings on the Tootle platform, giving our dealers even more opportunities to acquire the stock they need.’

Chris Wood, managing director of Confused.com car-buying and selling, added: ‘Having already launched our car-buying service, which delivers savings to drivers and convenience on their new and used car purchases, our car-selling service is the latest addition to our online car market proposition and a natural evolution of our price comparison services for motorists.

‘Tootle is already delivering wins to drivers by giving them an easy way to get cash for their cars. We welcome Tootle on board as both brands strive to make it even easier for motorists to get the best deal.’
