Work completed on £2.5m project at JCT600 Porsche dealership

A PORSCHE sales and service centre operated by JCT600 in Wallsend, North Tyneside, has undergone a £2.5m extension and refurbishment.

The project signals JCT600’s long-term commitment to the German sports car maker. The company has represented Porsche for more than five decades across the north-east and opened another Porsche centre, near Stockton, in 2017.

The recent works, by Caddick Construction, included the refurbishment of the existing showroom to provide the capacity to display 16 cars, the creation of a plush handover lounge, and capacity for 23 approved used cars.

The workshop was extended to accommodate two customer ‘direct dialogue’ service bays and valeting facilities which have doubled in size.

The works also included all external areas. The project took nine months to complete and the official opening will take place in July.

Andrew Murray, the managing director of Caddick Construction, said: ‘This was an interesting project on a very busy live site that has resulted in an exceptional showroom and a fitting home for such a luxury car brand.

‘We are delighted to have delivered the project on time and managed to keep disruption for both staff and customers to a minimum during the work.’
