WORLD Cup quarter-final matches are causing considerable fluctuations in the number of people searching cars on the internet, according to Motors.co.uk.
Car buying and selling website Motors.co.uk reported a 16 per cent increase year-on-year in traffic on their website pre-match, but a 12 per cent decrease between kick off and the final whistle on Saturday’s match.
Dermot Kelleher, marketing and business intelligence director at Motors.co.uk, said: ‘we expect to see a very similar pattern this Wednesday evening, but can reassure dealers noticing similar effects on their own website traffic that the volume will quickly return post-match.’
These statistics just go to show the mass of people who put down everything to watch the football.
