The Prince’s Trust is committed to supporting younger people who are unemployed as well as those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion across the north-east, and provides vital services and support to local young people.

Nigel McMinn, Lookers’ managing director, said: ‘The whole day provided an amazing and memorable experience for all involved and we at Lookers are so thankful to everyone who made the effort to join us, play a round of golf, and let their hair down at the gala dinner.

‘The Prince’s Trust is a fantastic organisation that helps change the lives of young people throughout this region and we are delighted to support the very valuable work they do.’

The venue for the gala dinner was the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead with Rory Bremner as MC.

A charity auction provided the opportunity for guests to dig deep and contribute to work that will make a difference to young people across the region.

McMinn added: ‘We’re delighted to have raised £35,000 for such an inspirational charity.’
