IT’S not every day that you’ll get a celebratory dance from a customer, unless the customer happens to be a star of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing
Kristina Rihanoff, better known amongst the uninitiated as the unlucky professional paired with John Sergeant, has been living in London for eight years and yet hasn’t got around to owning a car yet.
Now expecting a child with her partner, rugby World Cup winner Ben Cohen, Rihanoff dropped into Alan Day Volkswagen in Hampsted to pick up her first car.
Settling on a silver Volkswagen Golf Match 1.4 TSI DSG, she commented: ‘I’m very excited, it’s a beautiful car and I decided it was about time I got one so I can get around town more easily.
‘I’ve obviously driven in America and Russia before, but this will be my first time in the UK . I’m a bit nervous about driving in the rush hour because the roads can get a little crazy but I’m sure I will quickly get the hang of it.’
The managing director of the Finchley Road showroom, Paul Tanner, said: ‘We like to please our customers but we have never had anyone pirouette on the showroom floor before – I think Kristina likes the car!’
