CarKeys hits 15 million YouTube views

Time 8:33 am, April 20, 2016

CarKeys, a website that delivers customer insight to hundreds of dealerships and manufacturers across the country, has hit 15 million views on its YouTube channel.

Providing reviews on the latest car models for customers in the market for new cars, the figure reinforces how integral and popular online content is for new car buyers when researching their next purchase, and the influence it holds over the final purchasing decision.

As a result of a recent CarKeys consumer survey, which revealed that independent, professional reviews influence the buying decisions of 63 per cent of consumers, the website has increased the amount of online content shared across all social channels by its team of automotive experts.

Publishing two video reviews to the channel, four independent editorial reviews on the website, and various ‘how-to guides for consumers’ on topics including PCP car finance explained every week, the website aims to provide all car buyers with the necessary information required to make an informed buying purchase, while helping dealers use online information to convert sales.

Chris Smith, head of CarKeys.co.uk, said: ‘Hitting 15 million YouTube views is a huge landmark for us and marks our commitment to helping consumers with their online car buying research, particularly given that our recent survey revealed that independent reviews is the information source that is most likely to influence purchasing decisions.

‘We have a dedicated strategy towards the type of content we upload, focused upon giving our audience informative videos rather than selling them products or ideas, and understand that online video content is a huge driver for both engagement and buying decisions. It means we can also use this information to help dealers understand what consumers want and how they can covert sales so that the new car market continues to thrive.’
