THE refurbishment of a leading Scottish motor business is set to provide a significant investment boost to the local economy.
Specialist Cars Volkswagen Aberdeen, part of the John Clark Group, is to undergo a major facelift to provide a state-of-the-art digital showroom.
However, it will be business as usual at the Craigshaw Crescent dealership while the programme of works is under way.
Phil Smart, head of business at Specialist Volkswagen, said: ‘This is a significant investment by us and will allow us to support the current and upcoming new models as Volkswagen expand into areas of the market they currently don’t have representation in.
‘It shows a real commitment to the Aberdeen business community, as well as being a significant investment in the local economy.’
During the refurbishment, the showroom will be overhauled to bring the dealership in line with the Volkswagen Retail Concept, resulting in new customer-focused benefits.
Customers will be able to make the most of interactive tablets to configure their new car and watch videos depicting the latest technology.
The work is expected to take three months and the new showroom will be able to display 12 cars.
Smart added: ‘The high level of investment shows our commitment to establishing Specialist Volkswagen Aberdeen as a key employer in the area, and to delivering the level of customer service that is expected from such a prestigious brand.’
