ASTON Barclay Group has announced its sponsorship of professional golfer Carly Booth, two-time winner on the Ladies’ European Tour.
The partnership is a natural synergy for Aston Barclay as, of course, golf features predominantly on the automotive retail calendar.
Carly’s relationship with Aston Barclay will see her visit leading automotive events and exhibitions such as CDX, as well as its UK auction centres, to run clinics and provide advice to vendors and buyers.
Aston Barclay will also provide Carly with a car for travelling to domestic LET events. She’ll also be able to use it to get to and from airports when participating in international tournaments.
Tom Mapes, group PR & marketing manager at Aston Barclay, said: ‘We’re delighted to welcome Carly on board. The automotive sector has long been passionate about golf with most retailers hosting golf days for their customers.
‘Our partnership with Carly not only reflects the interest in the sport itself but acknowledges the increasing role women are playing in the sector at a senior level.
‘Carly will add another dimension to our events and will be on hand to provide some golfing advice at our golf days, the first of which is being held on June 7 at Stockport Golf Club. We are looking forward to following her progress on the LET and wish her the best of luck for this year.’
Booth will be joining Aston Barclay at its stand – number 323 – at this year’s CDX which takes place at Silverstone on May 23 and is free for dealer delegates.
Visitors to the show will be in with a chance to win a place on Carly’s August charity golf day, where they’ll have the opportunity to play with golfing legends, and where Booth will also play and share her sporting knowledge.
