JOHN Clark Motor Group has opened an Audi showroom in Aberdeen at a cost of £9m.
The development at Balmoral Park in Wellington Road, which opened for business yesterday, is the group’s largest dealership and has created 22 new jobs, bringing the total staff number to 151.
Sitting alongside the firm’s recently completed Mini and Nissan dealerships, the four-acre premises are double the size of the previous Audi site and accommodate a new and used car showroom as well as a state-of-the-art 36-bay workshop. In addition, 200 parking spaces are available.
The 22 new-car showroom will showcase the latest range from Audi and includes a dedicated Audi Sport area for customers wanting to personalise the performance and body styling of their car.
A room has also been dedicated to an innovative Audi configurator, which will be opened in November, and there are two customer handover rooms.
A stand-alone building houses up to 12 used vehicles, sales offices and customer hospitality, which is also supported by an outdoor display of more than 120 approved used models.
The new workshop includes 33 ramps, two dedicated MOT bays and an express-fit tyre bay, all equipped with the latest Audi equipment and technology.
Alan Robertson, head of business for Aberdeen Audi, said: ‘This is an extremely exciting time for the team at Aberdeen Audi. We all feel privileged to work in such superior facilities. Anyone that visits the new site will immediately see the customer benefits.’
Chris Clark, group business development director of John Clark Motor Group, added: ‘This has been a significant investment and build project for the group but one that is justified in terms of the performance of the Aberdeen Audi business over recent years.’
