THE London EV Company has increased its regional presence by opening three more dealerships.
Based in Nottingham, Slough and Southampton, the new retailers take LEVC’s network spread to 12 UK cities and will offer sales and aftersales support.
As well as bolstering drivers already operating in the areas and making it easier for new customers to buy an LEVC TX, the additional trio of dealerships will also underpin local authorities’ efforts to improve urban air quality.
LEVC said the growth of its network was further evidence of ever-increasing demand for the TX electric taxi – it celebrated a record September with 352 TXes sold, building on month-on-month growth since April this year.
Jörg Hofmann, LEVC chief executive, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome new partners in Nottingham, Southampton and Slough into the LEVC family, expanding our retail network as we implement our growth strategy. These new dealerships will help us engage with our customers in a greater number of regions in the UK, bringing us closer than ever to the people who drive our taxis every day.’
LEVC has sold 3,000 TXes since the model was launched early last year. The vehicle, which has onboard wifi and charging points for mobile phones and laptops, combines 80 miles of zero-emission pure-electric range with the flexibility of a total electrically driven range of 377 miles, made possible by the on-board range-extender.
The company’s range will grow further in 2020 with the launch of an electric van based on the TX.
