LOOKERS has cut the ribbon on a 63,600 sq ft Audi retail site in Farnborough, Hampshire, as part of its investment in the prestige brand.
The new dealership sees the closure of Camberley Audi, with all 120 staff transferring to the new site at Templer Avenue.
The dealership represents a multi-million-investment by Lookers Audi, which took the decision last year to move to the new site in order to provide its customers in the south-east with a larger facility and a wider choice of Audi, including around 200 used cars on site.
The new facility follows significant investment in other parts of Lookers’ Audi portfolio, including the £3m refurbishment at Lookers Guildford Audi and a similar makeover at Basingstoke Audi last year.
Features at the new Farnborough site include a 20-car indoor showroom, 30 servicing and maintenance ramps, and a digital customer presentation lounge where people can view the entire Audi range in cutting-edge virtual reality.
The dealership is now open for business, with an official opening event planned for October 9.
Michael Wrigley, pictured, head of business at Farnborough Audi, said: ‘We are delighted to be opening Farnborough Audi, a landmark centre for us, for Farnborough and a true destination for everything Audi.
‘As one of the largest Audi centres in the UK, we have a massive selection of new and used Audi on display and the very latest digital customer presentation lounge to showcase the full range.’
