McLAREN Automotive is to expand its UK retailer network with a showroom in Hatfield.
The dealership – to be operated by Cambria Automobiles – will join six locations in Ascot, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, London and Manchester.
McLaren Hatfield will be based at a new site currently under construction and scheduled to be completed in January 2019. It will feature the latest visual identity of the iconic British brand, together with a spacious display area and a dedicated six-bay workshop facility.
David Gilbert, managing director of McLaren Automotive Europe, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Cambria Automobiles to the family of UK retail partners of McLaren Automotive. They are an industry leader famous for their impeccable customer service, and I am certain that this new appointment will significantly contribute to the continuous success of McLaren in our home market.’
Cambria Automobiles chief executive Mark Lavery said: ‘We are delighted to have been offered the opportunity to represent McLaren from our new site in Hatfield.
‘The building work is under way, and once complete it will be a flagship dealership befitting the McLaren brand.’
In the meantime, a temporary, four-car showroom with hospitality lounge and state-of-the-art configurator is operating from a site at Hatfield Business Park.
The British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars is enjoying robust growth in its home market, which saw a record 550 cars sold in 2017.
