THE Motorist’s Organisation, a leading provider of digital services to garages, has appointed Jonathan Hermans as development director.

With more than 15 years of automotive sales, marketing and business development, Hermans has previously worked with Auto Trader, Autotrade-mail, Yeomans Honda and CitNOW Video.

In his new role, Hermans will be responsible for developing and managing the sales and marketing team, product development and implementation.  He will also manage the recruiting and training of the garage account managers to work with the firm’s 4,000-strong customer base of independent and franchised garages.

Douglas Rotberg, chief executive of The Motorist’s Organisation, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to the management team, as he brings a wealth of blue-chip automotive experience to this important new role.

‘With Jonathan’s help, we will be able to further grow our market share of independent and franchised garages using our innovative online booking platform.  This enables them to provide real-time pricing for MOTs, car services and repairs.’

Hermans said: ‘I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic and fast-moving company and I am very excited about my new role.’
