Strong sales forecast as Progress group acquires second Suzuki outlet

Time 11:25 am, October 26, 2015

SUZUKI’S showroom in Old Stratford, Milton Keynes has been acquired by the Progress motor retail group.

The standalone six-car dealership in London Road, now known as Progress Suzuki, is the family-run business’s first Suzuki site in Buckinghamshire, and their second in the UK, following last year’s purchase of Co-op Motors in Kettering.

The fully-refurbished premises has the full product Suzuki range on display and available for test drives.

Customers are hosted in contemporary surroundings by a team of knowledgeable staff which includes a dedicated Motability specialist.

In addition, Progress Suzuki has an on-site servicing and MoT facility which provides a smart repair programme for the removal of minor dents and scuffs.

Dale Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Suzuki (GB) plc, said: ‘Milton Keynes Suzuki has proved instrumental in driving sales, increasing the exposure of the brand, and bringing the sponsorship of the local MK Dons football team alive amongst thousands of fans.

‘The purchase of the town’s franchise re-affirms the success that it has enjoyed to date, and its future potential that the Progress Motor Group has clearly recognised. We look forward to working closely with them.

Matt Crathorn, brand manager of Progress Suzuki, said: ‘After a positive first year in Kettering, we are delighted to be growing the Progress Suzuki franchise with the opening of a second location in Milton Keynes, an important market in Buckinghamshire.

‘With strong sales forecast, and new models on the way, such as the arrival of the high-performance Vitara S, and the Baleno hatchback in 2016, there is plenty to look forward to as we continue to develop our relationship with Suzuki.’
