AUTOMOTIVE Compliance has kicked off the fundraising for Bangers4Ben with a donated car from V12 Sports and Classics and some generous sponsors.
Wanting to take part in the 10th-anniversary charity rally, which is organised by Car Dealer Magazine in aid of motor industry charity Ben, Automotive Compliance’s managing director Paul Guy, emailed all of his dealership clients and asked if they had any unwanted cars they would be willing to part with.
V12 Sports and Classics came back with an offer – a Volvo S60 T5-R. The car is ideal for Automotive Compliance as it’s purple, which is the same colour as the company logo.
As if that weren’t enough generosity, the car is currently being serviced by Fleet Auction Group for free, so it’ll be in prime condition when it’s eventually handed over to Automotive Compliance.
Guy says that he’s determined for Automotive Compliance to raise more money than any other participant in the event. Anyone who donates £100 or more via the company’s JustGiving page can email their business’s logo to [email protected] to have it added to the Volvo’s design as a sponsor.
A number of companies have already done this, including V12 Sports and Classics, the Scottish Motor Trade Association, AutoAssure, Response-Able Solutions and Car Leasing Made Simple.
Guy said: ‘Ben is a great charity dedicated to our industry that we are proud to support. Last year’s event raised a whopping £60,000. This year, for the 10th anniversary, the barrier has been raised with a target of collectively raising £100,000 for the charity.
‘I’ve spoken with several of the other teams, and their cars and modifications are well under way. This is a challenge everyone’s up for.
‘The response from the industry in support of Ben has been overwhelming. In our case, V12 Sports and Classics has donated our whole car, giving our fundraising a massive boost.
‘You too can show your support for our industry and the people in it who may need a little help. Please donate £100 to Ben via our JustGiving page and we, at our cost, will add your company logo to our banger to show your support for Ben.’
