The firm is sponsoring the award for ‘Director in a Small Business’ at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Wales awards, which will take place at the SWALEC stadium in Cardiff on May 20.

Andy Provis, group fleet manager at Wessex Garages, said: ‘The institute is acknowledged worldwide as a leader in business and corporate governance. Joining the IoD has benefited our business greatly as we are able to gain advice, guidance and support, which has more than 100 years of business experience.

‘We’re delighted that this year we can sponsor the Director in a Small Business Award. This category is for a senior manager, from any type of company, of any size and from any sector, based in Wales. The individual must be new to a director level position and be awaiting promotion or be under 42 at the time of the National Awards ceremony in October.’

The IoD aims to support members as they grow and develop their organisations. Benefits included as part of the annual membership fee cover resources such as business information, advice and research, access to professional one-to-one advice, places to meet and do business, and the chance to network across the UK both on and offline.

Robert Lloyd Griffiths OBE, director of IoD Wales Wales, said: ‘I would like to say thank you to Wessex Garages for supporting our Awards.

‘In 2016 we celebrate the sixth year of the IoD Wales Director of the Year Awards. The search is now on for our winners as we champion success and highlight inspired business leadership.’
