BCA is supporting its digital ambitions with the appointment of Fiona Hall as head of online products.
Hall joins the business from Waitrose where she was online grocery proposition manager. She will be responsible for developing BCA’s content management systems, Auction View, PEEP and BCA Live Online.
Commenting on the appointment group CIO at BCA Duncan Gray said: ‘BCA has put digital services at the heart of its plans. It is important that we support this growth with the best talent. Fiona brings a wealth of experience and a real passion for the power of digital platforms. BCA continues to invest in digital to make it easier for customers to manage vehicles across the automotive supply chain.’
The company has seen a 25 per cent increase in online sales over the last 12 months and recently reported a leap in the use of mobile usage.
Fiona Hall said: ‘Data has the power to empower the buyer and transform the vehicle supply chain. Tablet and smartphone usage continues to rise and now accounts for 60 per cent of our digital interactions. We aim to lead the industry in new technology over the coming years, and I’m looking forward to playing my part in this transformation.’
