The Esplanade dealership in Cowes has added Skoda to its portfolio of marques and said it was looking forward to a successful new alliance.
Since being founded in 1946 – originally in Ryde and then based in Newport – and now part of the Jacksons Group, it has grown over the years to tuck Volkswagen, Vauxhall, Volvo, SsangYong, Mercedes-Benz and Smart under its belt, before welcoming Skoda as its most recent brand.
Skoda has now recognised it as an authorised repairer and approved used retailer, and Esplanade aftersales manager Matthew Williams said: ‘We are very happy to welcome Skoda to our workshop and believe that this will be a successful new alliance for Esplanade.
‘Our team of trained technicians have shown real enthusiasm for this news and we all look forward to looking after the cars of Skoda customers on the Isle of Wight.’
Sales manager Brendan Cole said: ‘The addition of Skoda to the Esplanade Approved Used programme means that we are able to offer our customers a greater selection of premium models to choose from.
‘We already have in stock a selection of pre-registered Skoda vehicles with just delivery miles, and we are offering them with great savings against list price.’
