AUTO TRADER hosted its eleventh Retailer Awards event on Thursday at the One Marylebone in London.
This year’s event included the introduction of performance league tables for the most digital-savvy car retailers in the country.
All awards are split into two sub-sections, for those who stock less than 200 cars, and for the bigger groups who stock more.
The coveted Retailer of the Year award went to Luscombe Motors in the sub-200 car category, while CarShop (pictured above) took the honour for the above 200 cars section. These two groups, by virtue of winning the award, also top the performance league table.
The Best Online Experience Award went to Mike Brewer Motors in the 200+ cars section, while Peter Scott Cars scored the award for smaller dealerships.
Agnew Group won the 200+ car Custom Experience Award, while Lakeland Land Rover won the sub-200 car segment.
Carbase and eCars247 took the Business Initiative of the Year award, in the 200+ and sub-200 classes respectively.
Meanwhile, in the award for Rising Star of the Year, Dick Lovett digital marketing manager Lucy Hawkins won the 200+ car honours. Meanwhile, Fresh Motors MD Jacob Freshwater won the equivalent award for smaller retailers.
Auto Trader sales director Le Etta Pearce presented the awards alongside former Gadget Show presenter Jason Bradbury and fellow sales director Darren Moon.
Pearce said: ‘This year our winners were determined by our most comprehensive judging process to date, which not only featured a very prestigious judging panel of experts, but also the opinions of thousands of car buyers, an in-depth analysis of millions of data points from across our market place, and also our first ever mystery shopping process. So even to be shortlisted is a huge achievement.’
